The Extrusion Process Flow

From raw virgin ingots to custom-cut, age-hardened profiles — every step is monitored by digital sensors and inline metallurgical quality checks.

PHASE 01

Alloy Formulation & Casting

High-purity primary aluminium ingots melted and hot-top cast to exact alloy grades (6063, 6061, 6082, 6060, 6005) with 100% OES spectrochemistry verification.

PHASE 02

Smart Heating & Hot Shearing

Multi-zone temperature-controlled furnace heats billets to 450°C–500°C. Integrated hot log shear cuts billets precisely to length without thermal distortion.

PHASE 03

Dual Press Extrusion & Quench

Hydraulic pressure (1450 MT & 650 MT) forces plasticized metal through precision tooling. Automated pullers draw profile across runout while water/air spray quenches.

PHASE 04

Belted Handling & Stretch Correction

Heat-resistant belted tables ensure 100% scratch-free handling. Hydraulic stretchers remove residual internal stress and ensure straightness within ±0.1mm.

PHASE 05

Artificial Ageing (T5/T6)

Profiles loaded into calibrated batch ageing ovens at 175°C–205°C for controlled precipitation hardening to achieve target UTS, yield, and Brinell hardness.

PHASE 06

Mechanical & Metrology QA

Batch samples undergo tensile validation on our computerized UTM, Webster & Brinell hardness checks, and optical dimensional verification against IS 733.

PHASE 07

Finishing & Anodizing

Surface pre-treatment and finishing: architectural anodizing (up to 25 microns), premium powder coating (Qualicoat standard), or smooth mill finish.

PHASE 08

Protective Packing & Dispatch

Spiral film wrapping, protective corner cushions, wooden batten boxing, and official Mill Test Certificate (MTC) generation for 100% batch traceability.
